Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!

H has been obsessed with the Wizard of Oz ever since we borrowed the movie from the library. I remember when they would air it every year as a TV special and I recorded it on our VCR, remember those?

H saw the movie on the shelf and asked me what it was about. To my surprise she was interested in a non-animated movie.  She enjoyed every minute of it and asked questions throughout the entire movie. Since then we have been role-playing and singing songs to Oz and back.
This gave me a fun and simple craft idea to do with H while N was napping. Wizard of Oz puppets!

Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Glue
  • Wooden craft sticks
  • Wooden craft shapes

We made Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion & the Wicked Witch of the West.
H has so much fun playing with them.

What’s your all time favorite movie?
Do you have one that your kids love to watch over and over?
