Popcorn anyone?

Our family loves to snack. Sweet, salty, you name it. Anyone who's been to our house knows there's always gonna be something to munch on when you come over.  I joke with my sister that she always raids our closet when she visits.

I've seen this online and finally got a chance to try it out, making your own microwave popcorn. Saves money and healthier too...unless you put lots of butter and salt. After trying this I won't be buying those individual packets anymore.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/3 cup of unpopped popcorn kernels
1 brown lunch bag
Melted butter and salt to taste or any other spices/seasoning for flavor (optional)

Pour kernels into paper bag fold the top of bag over about 1 inch, fold it over again.

Lay bag on it's side in microwave. Select popcorn button or microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until the popping slows to about 3 seconds between pops. Time may vary.
What is it about the smell of popcorn that makes your mouth water? It's so hard to resist whenever you go to the movies, until you see the price. Hmmm do I really want some? Crazy how much they charge, right?
N approves!
Are you a snacker? What's your favorite kind of snack?
Would you rather have hot buttered popcorn or kettle corn?

Have a great weekend!

    1. Haha me too Mandi! After a sweet snack I like to "balance it out" with a salty snack or vice versa :)

  4. I never knew it could be so easy! I thought there might be some "magic" to bagged microwave popcorn. I definitely won't be popping corn on the stove top, so thanks for demystifying the paper brown bag method!!!! I'd rather have kettle corn :). We aren't much snackers because once we start, we can't stop. So it's more a self-control thing than not liking to snack. Us and a bag of sour cream n onion chips, watch out!
