"Did You Know?" #3

Most of you may have already guessed that since both Eva and I are SAHM (stay at home moms) and WAHM (work at home moms) we get most of our sewing and designing for BOJ done at night after the kids are in bed. But did you know that our supportive husbands are usually our cutters? Meaning they usually have the job to help us cut out the patterns in fabric and we do the sewing. It is usually around this time, that they start to "question" our designs, like "Honey, does this design really need to be this small?" Or they start to get their creative juices running and say, "There has got to be a way to make this easier. Is there a punch or a machine that can cut this shape out in 1 step?" Maybe we will get another business idea this way, who knows!

Some of the designs that have been more "work" were the transportation line and the lunch buddies. If you haven't checked them out before, why don't you stop by the "honeycomb" store and see what they are all about!

If there is anything you would like to know about BOJ or Eva and I feel free to ask us in the comments and we will try to answer them in our next post!

  1. How nice that your husbands are willing to help with your projects. My husband is my website designer, and I couldn't do anything without him!

  2. That's so cool that your husbands help you out. My husband is a systems engineer, so he helps me out with computer related stuff all the time. Does the transportation buddies come with the mat that is shown in the picture?

    1. Yeah, my husband is a programmer so he does all our computer related stuff. If you buy 4 of the transportation magnets or the set, you get the road scene as an e-mail download and you can print it out as many times as you want and make a big road scene, like a puzzle!

  3. They do have a machine to cut stuff out of felt. I researched it when I was making felt food. I think there are special dies that go into a machine, I think it's like the cricket cutter.

    1. That's what I thought too but not ready to invest in anything like that yet.
